A Tribute to the Beginnings of Bengali Bands in Kolkata. 

The concert is Borno Anonyo’s tribute to the beginnings of Bengali bands in Kolkata. Along with our original compositions we shall sing to times that make us who we are today, that make our songs come to life – songs from Moheener Ghoraguli, Nagarphilomel, Ekka, Gorer Math and many more that shall live in our hearts evermore. 

We began our journey with an album titled Kichhu Ateet Agamir Jonyo. This spirit of a present that carries the past with it into the future shall remain with us as we grow old. We welcome you all to sing with us the songs of the city that speak to generations now and then; to a generation emerging. Our romance with Kolkata and our musical inspirations cannot be bound by a timeline. However, the 70s to the early 90s Bengal shall always remain special. Its recalling and reminiscence are a part of our everyday, still. We call you to relive this language of music and the spirit of this communion, one more time with us. Come, let’s sing together to a Calcutta that rises again and again from the ashes of its ruins, to a Calcutta that is never dead.
