We hope they find a home in your heart, And their dress not cause your ears too much bother, Our children born of a colour like no other. আমাদের গাওয়া রবীন্দ্রনাথের গান বহু সময় ধরে ২০১৯ থেকে ২৪ অবধি আমাদের নানা সময়ে গাওয়া গান ফোনে রেকর্ড করা, কিছু ঘরের রেকর্ডিং যন্ত্রে, এমনই প্রাণের আনন্দে গাওয়া । বৈশাখ থেকে চৈত্র শরৎ হেমন্ত বর্ষা বসন্ত এইসব গান আমাদের ঘরে এসেছিলো , গেয়েছিল আমাদের নিজেদের ঘরে বসে সঙ্গ দিয়ে গিয়েছিলো সুন্দর । একদিন হয়তো আমরা এই গান গুলো রেকর্ড করে মুক্ত করতে পারবো কিন্তু প্রাণের সাধ আর সাধ্য সব সময় মিলতে চায় না । একদিন মিলতে পারে মিলতে নাও পারে তাই আর অপেক্ষা করলাম না আজ দিনে না হোক রাতে বার করলাম ,অবশ্য পঁচিশে বৈশাখের বোধহয় রাত হয় না ... We hope the child in us can be reawakened once in a while to taste what seems like an epic! The little ones who sang along lent us their wonder for a while. It was a tall task but a joyful one to take a ride back in time and reimagine nursery rhymes in Bangla. We were starving for quite some time to taste these rhymes in a language that smelt of the land we grew up in. Hence the task of translation, or rather transcreation; a bigger project in the band, of which nursery rhymes is a little big part. Bari Ghera Kolkata | Borno Anonyo | EP Kolkata, Vol 2
This is the second song of our Translations series that is being released on YouTube. The album is available on all music streaming platforms. This song, Shundoritama Prithibi, is a 'trans-creation' of the legendary Louis Armstrong song 'What a Wonderful World'. Our wish and sole desire was to make it a Bengali modern song which will sound like one which has emerged from the land and air of Bengal and its metropolis, our beloved Kolkata. Although, in this song the melody has kept mostly unchanged but the words, we think, justifies the byline of our album - singing to a song. We have humbly sang to the song as a tribute. This is a meeting of generations, land and civilisations and it falls in line with the musical, aesthetic and interpretative preoccupation of our band, #bornoanonyo like we have done since our first album Song Letter till our most recent album, EP Kolkata, Vol 1 and soon to be released EP Kolkata, Vol 2.

Bijoner Chayer Cabin is an iconic song by Nagar Philomel. This is a humble attempt by us to recreate it. Borno Anonyo has a deep connection with this city and this song is forever woven into the cadence of Kolkata and its melancholy. #BornoAnonyo organised its own show, Tobuo Drishyer Jonmo Hoye, in November' 2022 at Children's Little Theatre. The concert was a celebration of the beginnings of Bengali band music in Kolkata.
